Vivian Maier - photographer

My photography professor told us about this artist this week and I knew I had to share, it's to good not to.

This woman, Vivian Maier, lived in Chicago as a nanny during the 60's & 70's. She spoke very little English (French origianally) and documented everything she saw. Her images are breathtaking. Someone found them all at an estate auction and then began investigating her life. A Documentary is in production and a book should be out soon.

Here are some of my favorites of her images.

Her images are so great. They are either well planned, or have such spontaneity. She has a lifetime worth of work. It's such a great way to honor a photographer.

All for now.
