2012 Holiday Movie Guide

My simple synopsis of each movie and the trailer. I can't wait to see so many of these.

Already Released

Lincoln
A political movie about the ins and outs of getting the 18th amendment passed. If you want a war movie, this isn't it. If you want a movie where Lincoln looks inspiring and everyone loves him, this isn't it either. But if you want a real portrayal of Lincoln and the Congress of the time then yes go see it.

Life of Pi
A fairly accurate depiction of the book from what I've heard. Go to watch the amazing CG.

Hyde Park on Hudson
David and I consider this Bill Murray's attempt at an Oscar. Nonetheless we can't wait to see it. It's about the summer that the King and Queen of England came to visit America and ask for their help in WWII.

Opening today

The Hobbit
The prequel to the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. The story of Bilbo Baggins and his adventure with the dwarves.

Opening next week & Christmas Week

On the Road
Jack Kerouac's novel the defined a generation and gave a voice to the beat movement. Expect lots of drugs, sex, and nudity. All that being said it's a great book and I hope the movie is just as wonderful.

Django Unchained
A movie about a slave who is freed and is trying to find the man who took his wife. Expect lots of violence, and profanity; this is a Quentin Tarantino movie. That being said it should be a great story.

Les Miserables
The classic story about one man's search for freedom and the girl he raises as his own after he sees her mother die. It takes place during the French Revolution. Amazing songs that will make you want to cry.
