Inspiration

Louise Bourgeois

Although her mediums have changed over years her themes are all the same, loneliness, jealousy, anger, and fear. And she explores the same manifestations of these themes across different media. Perhaps the most famous and my favorite of these are the spiders. She was a force for women's art from the 70's until her death in 2010. She also continued to create until her death, and had her first MOMA retrospective when she was 70. She is true inspiration to me to keep working at my dream, the timing is not up to you.

This is the most famous portrait of her. I just love her quirky smile while she holds one of her sculptures of male genitals. haha. She seems like a great woman.
