friday feature: trailers

Some movies coming out that look fantastic. Which trailers look good to you?

What Maisie Knew

Ain't in it for My Health

Kings of Summer

Tattoo Nation

The Way, Way Back

The Great Gatsby

I'm freaking out about Gatsby. Every song I hear is perfect, the images are delightfully over the top. I just know this movie will earn Leo that Oscar he's deserved for years.

Have a great weekend!

friday feature - family friendly

So a Schloss family tradition is going to the movies. I bet this weekend David and I will see two movies. It's something my family excels at. It sounds weird I know, but it's the truth.

In light of the fact that you will probably be spending time with your family this weekend, why not watch a family friendly movie.

A great pixar movie about a young girl trying to find her place and learn to love her parents and her countries traditions.

MOVIES

So two movies that I've been dreaming about since I heard rumors of their filming are Great Gatsby and Les Miserables. And this weekend the trailers came out. So for your enjoyment here they are.

I cried in the movie theater when i saw the Les Mis trailer. True Story.

friday feature

a wonderful film about a boy and and and old man who are unlikely friends but end up helping each other a great deal.

about the magic of mechanical clocks and old films.

the old man is George Méliès who is a famous film maker. here is the video of his film Le Voyage dans la lune made in 1902.

it really is quite magical and deserves all the Oscars that it received. I watched it twice last weekend and loved it dearly.

i love movies as much as Hugo does so this movie is perfect for me.

it also made me want to go to Paris. (but everything seems to these days)
